Meath Street Housing
Located in the heart of Dublin’s Liberties, this 16-unit apartment building represents a sensitive addition to Meath Street’s vibrant streetscape. The proposal seeks to capture the character of the area and the existing remnants of the “Dutch Billy” ruins which occupied the corner site. The approach here has been to marry the new with the existing, emphasizing the difference between the two and celebrating these moments through careful detail and design. A mixture of traditional brick bonding, fluted bricks and hit and mix brick work ensure that the proposal contributes to the rich history of brick work within the area.
