Dalguise SHD Monkstown
The key challenges presented by the site were the integration of the historic, protected structures and the protection of mature trees within the new development context, whilst ensuring sufficient density was achieved.
The scheme as envisaged provides 300 dwelling units – 276 apartments and 24 houses – along with a creche, concierge office, resident’s leisure suite and business centre. The new apartment buildings are arranged in a parkland setting around a series of landscaped amenity spaces.
The design realises a residential density of 82 dwellings per hectare, whilst respecting the sensitive historic and environmental context.
